Critical Reflection

Since the beginning of my third year the thought of contacting agencies to get portfolio visits has really bothered me due to my confidence. By travelling to Manchester and speaking to designers face to face has certainly given me more confidence to go out and achieve what I set out to achieve. Looking at how I could improve my work is most important in order to have a really good portfolio to show the professionals and taking every bit of advice they can give me helps me on improving the projects by developing them even further and seeing them as just the beginning of something that could be even more professional. I have learnt that keeping contact with the designers I have met is important in order to leave university with good contacts, I do this by emailing them about new work they have added to their site and also talking to them about my own work and asking for advice on anything I feel unsure of.
